A talk by
Sir John Egan
Jaguar Social Club, 8.00 p.m. start

This is one of the most important meetings we have ever had.  Sir John Egan is generally credited with saving Jaguar Cars in the late seventies and early eighties.  Without his leadership and skill, the company which we hold so dear would probably not be in existence today.  He had to make some difficult decisions involving jobs, but also he started the whole quality ethos which has lead to such a good product today.

We expect a very large turnout for this talk, so we shall be opening the lounge bar as well as still being able to obtain drinks from the normal sports bar.  This will incur a room charge which we will have to cover se we hope you won’t mind if for this meeting we charge an extra £1 for entry making it a £3 meeting.  I’m sure this will be a fascinating evening with one of the people who helped to make Jaguar the great name it is today so please come along to what should be a great night

Sir John Egan: 20 Years of Leadership-

1980-90 Chief Executive, Jaguar Cars

1990-99 Chief Executive, BAA

Currently non-executive Chairman of motor distributor Inchcape, and Harrison Lovegrove Ltd.

Also President of the London Tourist Board, Chairman of the Central London Partnership, Deputy Chairman of London First, Vice President of the Marketing Council, Member of the Council of the Institute of Directors, Chairman of The Centre for Tomorrow’s Company and President of the Institute of Management.

Knighted in Queen’s Birthday Honours list, June 1986.

Many thanks to Brian Reid for setting this meeting up for us.
